Do you have laptop posture? This may be causing your shoulder pain. Are you constantly rubbing your tense neck and shoulders? This post is for you.

Laptop Posture

We were never meant to sit for the length of time that we do. Our ancestors were chasing wild boar to survive whilst we practically have a melt down if we lose our internet connection for 30 minutes! Something is very wrong here.

The best we can do to minimise the trauma to our poor spines is to learn to sit correctly at our desk and learn to stay moving even when we sit. You can learn how to sit, sleep, stand and drive with the correct position in this book  Posture Give It To Me Straight .

Desk Stretches

Fidgeting is the best advise I can give any desk worker. Notice how often kids wiggle about when they are sitting at the dinner table? That’s because they know what is good for their nervous systems. Motion is lotion, I love to tell my patients. Watch the video above and learn a simple but powerful way to keep laptop posture and your stiff neck and shoulders at bay.

Desk Posture

One final tip-make sure your office chair is not bolt upright. Sitting at 90 degrees has been shown to cause too much stress on your lumbar discs and may cause them to wear out over time.       This Study  explains that 120 degrees is perhaps the best angle for your office chair.
